Tether your Android phone to your Linux laptop

As a Linux enthusiast, I came across an article from ghacks.net where you can tether your Android phone to your Linux laptop.  My first experiences in tethering a smart phone to a laptop was with an iPhone before the 3.1.2 firmware upgrade.  It definitely works wonders to have internet connections on 3G speeds when you are no where close to a Wi-fi hotspot. I was surprised by its speed.  Not too shabby.  Anyway, after the jump, the  article by Jack Wallen is very useful on this how-to bit.
