Most iPad owners have likely run into the charging issue by now: the device simply requires a high-power USB port or wall socket to charge. Or rather, it refuses to charge on anything but one of those. This little adapter claims to solve that problem, likely by simply providing the information the iPad wants to hear even if the port can’t provide the wattage. And it’s only five bucks.
I doubt it’s a problem, but to be honest I’d be careful about messing with the iPad charger. I hear it gets hot, and leaving it plugged in with a current going for longer than a normal charge time might result in a melted port. I’m no electrical engineer, but just be careful out there.
